It is indeed the replacement for the Blue Flame Spitter. (Garrett, get ready, this one wants some of your blood too whip.gif )

It did not drive onto the trailer. Between Orion (the previous owner) and myself we managed to get it on the trailer and secured. On Sunday I was alone and thought it would be worth it to try and start the car. I was successful and can now understand why the plugs foul so quickly. Although there was some white smoke (I am guessing from the car not driving too much) it was mostly black. I think you could probably ignite the exhaust gases. At least it smells that way.

H Stock here I come!

The BFS has been replaced by......

"The one eyed wonder"

I might need you and that trailer soon. I have a "free" 3rd gen in VA if I want it (I'm trying to find out if I want it). It was bought for the motor, the motor is gone and the rest is there (I'm just not sure how much is worth having yet) and free for me to pick up.

Actually, I have a replacement grill as well. She will be sporting quad round headlights when she hits the road (like all GTi's built except here in the US).

The truck you are welcome to use. I borrowed the trailer from an OVR member. However, I know "Mr. Entertainment" has one as well and would not mind if you use it.

8V GTI, nice. My first car was an '86 and I finally donated it to charity at 252,000 miles.

Loved that car.

I had an '87 Golf GT (not the GTI), '86 Jetta and an '87 Wolfsburg Jetta (may it rest in pieces....smile.gif). I don't think I put more than 100 miles on any of them, or even all of the three combined. I kept having ideas of going ITB racing, but never did.

I like it. I know someone that has an 86(I think) GTI racecar with a logbook for sale, If I remember right he said $2000. I was tempted to get it instead of the 5th motor for the bird!

Come on Kevin get the 3rd gen......
