Hey guys... well after almost 10 wonderful years with my '99 Formula WS6 1LE... I have listed it for sale on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=150135618414

2 Kids, a new house etc... etc... priorties change... I'll deeply miss this one of a kind Automobile!

1st 6spd Formula WS6 Hardtop 1LE made in '99 and Last Year Pontiac offered the 1LE option in house!

Car comes with all original parts... plus the bolt ons on the car (Grotoyahn Long Tube Headers, Borla Cat Back, LS6 Intake, etc...)

Thanks!

Dave

To be fair to everyone I am not disclosing reserve price. If you're serious about the car, you'll probably get it for less than you might think. I don't have the time any more, so I've 'weighed' it's value very realistically.

Hey John! Congrats on the House!! Much smarter decision!!! Nothing wrong with that!

Thanks again!

Can't dominate F Stock with a 4th gen WS6 (yet). (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ahhhh, the memories. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)

I still have the cone I got stuck in the front suspension.

It's a great car, very unusual. I had the pleasure of driving it a few times while Mike Snyder owned it. Good luck with the sale, Dave!

For the record... the headers are FLP's (unless Dave changed them). (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) That's car has history, not like your run of the mill boring old F-bodies.

Thanks Sam! Nope... haven't changed em... so FLP's... I never knew for sure which you guys had decided on...Thanks for clarifying! Also, no... Sam nor myself had the 3.73's in the car... my friend who used the car as a daily driver for about a year or two put them in... but it was well after anyone auto-x'd the car! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Thanks guys!

Well, at least the bid has passed my daydream range now, so I can quit worrying about it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Man from Maryland buy it and it go 'boom boom boom.' (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

(Inside joke that Sam and Karen remember ... maybe Dave but he has probably repressed that memory.)

He seems like a nice guy... who deals in buying and selling these cars! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I think it went a little low... but I'm happy (and sad) to see it move on.

I wouldn't have minded you winning it... as long as you promise to not install a cage in her! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Indeed, I would have kept her pristine.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) I just told hubby I almost bid and he asked me if I knew how many of these cars I already have! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Looks like a great and very rare car, but $17,500 is a lot of money for an f-body IMO. That is well into C5 territory (and a C5 will destroy a 1LE in just about every measurable way).

Glad it sold (and I hope the buyer doesn't flake on you like so many on ebay).

Glad you think it went for a lot... I thought it was still a bit light. You have to know... they only made 235 1LE Firebirds across 12 years... Chevrolet built more than that in just 1991 alone!

The gentleman who bought the car, buys many firehawks, 1LE's & WS6's... we've spoke on the phone, and all seems good. I think the car brings 25K in just the next few years... just have to find '2 people' who want it! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

You can never compare price to different makes... a cadillac STS will bring more than 17.5 also... and can't beat a Maxima! So... when buying and selling performance cars... it's more about 'value & demand'... than just numbers on paper...

There's a certain pride (at least with me) with driving and racing F-bodies vs. Vettes & Vipers... I have raced them all... and for me... the 'crude basics' of F-Body's and Mustangs make the kid in me smile!

Peace!
Dave
