Did you all hear the announcements that along with the Camaro, GM has decided to revive the Firebirds.
Late 2010 will be the release of the V8 Firebird and early 2011 for the V8 Trans Am. There will be no Formula. There might be a "WS6" in the future called RamAir.
The Firebird will get the 5.3L LS3 based engine.
The T/A will have the 6.0L LS2.
No LS7's or LS9's sorry.

Styling will be the same retro as the Camaro, with the usual different front facia and different tail lights, and different interior Thank god, othere wise the same.

I think April fools. Everything I've read, even recently, was no Firebirds. I think it would be a mistake anyway. One GM's biggest faults has been making several copies of the same car with different names.

Yeah, probably april fools, but if it's true, I will probably wait and see what the Pontiac version looks like since I think the new camaro is a bit on the homely side.

I kind of figured as much since I had read that Pontiac had no intentions of bringing back the T/A-firebird line at this point. Well, there's that and the fact that they're planning on selling that hideous Aussie G8-camino here in the states?!? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I think that will well almost as well as the SSR's did for Chevy.

Good April fools prank though! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)
