I am so happy with the custom seat brackets that Alan made for me that I just had to share some pictures of them. I have a Corbeau FX1 Seat and I was using their slider system and it always wiggled just a bit. Plus the plastic guide on one of them actually broke, so if the seat wasn't exactly in the right position, it would wiggle, which was kind of unnerving. Plus I had to shim the heck out of the front of the seat to get the proper seat angle, which wasn't really safe.

So after speaking with Alan, he came up with a real elegant solution. I already had the Corbeau "universal seat mount" for side mounting the seat, which I got from Slow TA (Thanks man!) So Alan fabricated the seat rails so that they would bolt to the exiting factory mount so that I stay ESP legal, and then he drilled a series of holes along the side at the proper interval. The "uprights" from the corbeau kit has two sets of holes on each upright which allows for "between" hole adjustments. Mated with Alan's frame rails I can change the position of the seat for an aft in 0.25in increments and I can change the angle of the seat from straight up and down to "Big Pimp'n."

My friend, The Powder Pro then powder coated them in mat black for a awsome durable finish that should take the abuse of me buckling and unbuckling the harness. Than's Sean! Now on to the pictures:

Eric sent me the side plates, dimension of his seat, and pics of his preferred seating position. I fabbed the rails that bolt to the OEM seat mount studs. The width is specific for his seat, and the hole spacing specific to his side plates.

I discussed with the Blacksmith guy about the seat adjustable. I have Sparco Seat. He suggested to buy Aluminum 6061-T6 Structural Angle (5"x3"x 3/8" thickness) and AL 6061-T6 Flat 3/8". We could make one nice seat adjustable like Eric's. I will post w/ pixes after I done with it.

Well I've done 2 days of Evo School and 5 events with Alan's brackets and they are holding up perfectly! He really nailed the seating position for me and I couldn't' be happier. The most awesome thing is that the seat and the bracket assembly are so ridged that my bottom can sense what the car is doing so much better than before.

I was just at Blaine's last night for an UETA adjustment. He previously fabbed fixed seat brackets for me and did an amazing job. Hopefully, Alan took pictures before the seats were installed. His work is impeccable.
