I'm getting the iphone 5 tomorrow! I can't wait. I will NOT miss my Droid X!

Look into getting a higher memory version if there is such a thing..

I'm planning on it. Going with the 64 GB version.

From this past Sunday Here is my fasted video lap of the day at Gingerman:
http://youtu.be/3FoC7Tck5EA

I ran all day with my fat(lol) brother as a passenger. I had a 145:99 recorded in data (no vid) and i had some clean laps at the end that I didn't get any data for due to some sort of technical difficulty (memory?). So far i haven't made this app bullet proof reliable but i have a feeling my issues might be something i can fix by clearing up more memory.

Im going to run the Motor State Challenge on friday http://www.motorstate.com/msChallenge.htm/ Ill be on race tires so i wont be officially competing but it will be fun to see how i stack up to the top mega dollar and high horespower pro touring cars. They ran the shorter course last year and i don't have times for that config.

Glad to see you getting the car out. Unfortunately, our Optima 3rd gen isn't done enough to run in the MSC. Bruce is going to bring it up there but there's still a lot of loose ends to tie up.

What tires and HP are you running? I'll try to get some video up from when I raced there in June, there's some more time on the table. I was into the high 1:43s on dead Toyos (dumb tire choice) and my AI record is a 1.42.5 on the long course.

Here is my best lap from the Motor State Challenge and my best lape to date at Gman:
http://youtu.be/JoG0FDam8n8
141.7 per my timer (GPS) and 141.96 per the MSC timer (probably more accurate)

(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o33/StanIROCZ/null_zpscc59aa0e.jpg)
5th fastest lap of the day out of 98 and probably the fastest car under $100k. Because I'm cheap i refuse to spend $1200 on a set of street tires to be legal i ran my scuffed Grand Am Continentals (race tire). Most everyone else was running BFG Rivials (tread 200) but the top cars also had ~200 HP more than I so I call that a fair trade.

That 1:41 lap suprised the the heck out of me and really made me realize how much the little stuff in driving matters. I've watched that vid a dozen times now and I can see where there is more time on the table but I also realize that being able to put it all together in one lap is difficult.

I've also done very little tuning on this car. I cant even tell you what my front Koni's are set to. I've never tested tire pressures I just run 39-40 psi like Dean Martin told me to. Im also still right foot braking with a dog box, Id guss that there is a second on the table for LFB. But nipping away at these details and consistently going faster sure is a heck of a lot of fun (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My best time a year ago was 5 seconds slower (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Nape, I talked to Bruce for a little while and drew the conclusion that he was the friend of yours that had the 5th gen and the 3rd gen that you told me about. Thats a great looking car and I envy the fender flares.

I've never dyno'd my car but Id guess around 400 rwhp. 3150 lbs with me in the car.

...(guess I'm screwed).

Yeah, pretty much (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif) Or just get over it and get the iPhone. It's my first Apple product and I like it a lot.

Phone mount:

View through the windshield from the outside:

My Ram Mount http://www.rammount.com/ order:
1 1.00 EA RAM-B-201U-C RAM DOUBLE SOCKET ARM B BALL C LENGTH $20.84 $20.84
2 1.00 EA RAM-B-252U RAM .87 X 2.25 WITH 11 MM HOLE & 1" BALL $12.95 $12.95
3 1.00 EA RAM-HOL-UN7BU X-GRIP UNIVERSAL HOLDER WITH 1" BALL $26.88 $26.88

If I could do it over again I wouldn't get the long arm, I'd get the short one instead.

Also, the battery drains fast so I got a 10' charge cable from Amazon... having said that the damn thing doesn't work so I have to trouble shoot that.

Power Tour Long Hauler - that is freaking awesome. I'm a long hauler myself, but not in a true race car. I had my '68 Camaro back then, was a pro touring car.

*End digression*
