Just wondering if anyone out there has any personal feedback on the new BFG Rival S series street tire (UTQG 200) that just came out this year or if maybe there is somewhere online that has done some comparison testing on them?

Kyle Tucker was competing in the experimental class during the Texas Optima street car challenge a few weeks ago because he was testing these tires and they hadn't been released yet. You might check out lateral-g.net or Protouring.com for some information. He was fast, as usual, but he also looked like he was sliding around a lot for the times he was getting.

Cool, thanks I will check that out. I would have thought there might have been a little more fan fair befor their release and possibly some type of online/published article with a comparison test. If I new Andy Hollis, he we be my first go to guy since he always seems to be testing tires for GRM or somebody.

The Rivals that were out LAST year weren't 200 tread wear?? What were they, 100s, to compete with the NT-01s/R888s & RA1s??? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_confused.gif)

The rivals have always been 200 TW, however they updated the compound. The rival S is geared toward autocross, and is supposed to come up to temp faster. They will still be producing the original rival compound for those who don't desire the qualities of the S. That's about all the info I've found on these tires.

OK, Thanks, I figured it was something like that since so many were running the older Rivals at the Optima Ultimate Street car challenge last year, and they require at least a 200 tread wear, correct?
