Wheels and brackets arrived last night. The couple boxes I opened were well packed and looked great. I'll check the rest for shipping damage over the weekend (I suspect they will be just fine). Also, all PMs and texts responded to. Other than Rocky, if you did not receive one just let me know .......and I haven't forgotten about you Rocky ! ! Good lol I’m on vacation this week and don’t know how much I will be on here this week. Just shot me a text I’m still interested in the heads and arms and pan hard. Will do Rocky...... The panhard rod sold locally but all else is still available......I need to catch up on the list. Keep you posted This post has been edited by bowtieboy: Nov 7 2017, 02:45 AM |

FULL EXHAUST – Hooker LT Header, SLP Dual/Dual $500 - This system comes with 2 Y-pipes (catted and off road) and is a 3 bolt flange with a cut out. ** full disclosure ** the idiots that took the system off, cut a section on the catted Y (so that will need to be fixed) but there is the off road Y to use as a template. No cap for cut out and will need a band clap for the Y to the exhaust. Very minor bottoming out on the headers and the is some on the cats as well (will be in pictures) NIB OEM Coolant overflow container $15 - The one that the battery sits on How's the cat back? I don't need the y pipes or cats or anything. Is the cat back in "installable condition"? I'd want something that can just be dropped in to replace the stock Camaro exhaust without welding or mods. And I might be interested in the coolant bottle (depending on freight costs). Good evening Kevin ....... The condition of the cat back is extremely good (like a baby's butt after a bath before talcum powder - nice and shiny (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) but I must apologize as there is no way that I'm going to try and ship that thing at this time ........PITA Might reconsider once things calm down with the family As for the coolant bottle - already sold ....... I need to update my post (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) |

I need to update my post (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) I wondered about that. I think I'd like to have that exhaust, but I wondered about shipping. The "best" way I've seen it done is to put 30 gallon trash bags down in the box and fill them with a bit of expanding foam. They form to the pipes and harden (the bag keeps it from sticking....unless you go nuts with the foam and it expands out of the bag). That keeps things from banging together. I've had radiators shipped this way (from the manufacturer), same for headers, etc. I'm not in any rush. Keep me posted. I think that might be the ideal exhaust for the convertible. I would like the extra HP but I don't want it to be much louder than stock. Thanks! |

As for the power, I'm somewhat anal and already had a Loud Mouth. I heard people touting that the SLP dual/dual on a stock car (or with a lid) was just as good as the LM; so, before I went crazy modding, I went and tested this rumor. Being anal I made 3 passes with each (letting the car get completely cooled down before switching and testing the other) ...... and I was floored - the dual dual was only 3 RWHP and RWTQ less (if I remember correctly) but yet it was night and day in regards the loudness (or lack there of with the dual/dual) Just a little tid bit to let you know what I was able to prove Also, I forgot to ask ...... would you still like those bushings ? |
