How's it going? Just registered finally but have been lookin on this site for as long as it's been up. My name is Silas and I'm a friend of Roy stationed in Germany.

I own a 396 93Z fully modded minus the 9" out back. Getting ready to install a T2R along w/ some 3.73's just to see what I'm missing vs 3.23's that I've been running on the bahn since day one. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

See you around.

Silas,

It's good to see some ex-pats running some American Iron. I could only bench race during my time in the UK. I drove a Mini (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) so I didn't have any credibility.

Welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Oh I'm having fun over here...not to rub it in but I know I can't stay here forever. It's not so much the speed that we can cruise that's so wonderfully bestowed upon the european residents it's the pleasure of not having to watch your 6 or finding police on the median in between trees that's what is so wonderful about this place.

I'll go through withdrawal symptoms I'm sure when it's time to leave but hopefully that won't be for another 4 yrs and then I retire back in the US!

Welcome aboard Silas. I've never made it over to Germany, but have always had a lap around the Nurburgring on my list. Some day I'll get around to it.

Keith, when I lived in the UK I had 2 Minis. One was a parts donor car. I needed it many times. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Oh the Ring is a blast. It's so addicting. No helmet requirements..only that the brakes are adequate and the db level is under 98 and you can have a field day. 14 miles of track but I think it's a little less than that but not by much. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Cheap too and no time in the classroom before going out. Run at your own risk AND if you have a accident the insurance will cover it since it's considered a one way street and not a race track! Now that's what I call totally cool.
5 laps will set ya back 60 bucks or so depending on the euro and the hardware out there during the wkends is sweet too.

The Fbody guys here give em' hell on the track and not too many can get away from us believe it or not. W/ the right setup we are right up there w/ the high end exotics. I love lookin at their faces when I blast by..........not just on a the straightaways either but hairpins and esse's (however you spell that word)

I'll be making footage the next time I go which should be in about a month or so.
