For those of us to far away to make Memphis regularly, we once put together a weekend of F-Body Drag Racing, Road Racing, HPDE and AutoCross (Las Vegas 98) at LVMS.

We have wanted to do another for years. It is finally here. For those West of wherever, we will (with Dave Mills NCRacing Orgs help) have a 2005 F-Body Get Together race, drag and HPDE over the July 4th weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway and hopefully the Bakersield Drag Strip. Depending on turnout we hope to have a couple of levels of HPDE, a race and a nite of eliminations at the Drag Strip. For those that prefer to watch we will do a show and shine.

Let me know if you are interested and I will make sure you get details.

Whoops, I forgot to mention that we are working on bringing out one of the countries top F-Body Computer tuners (Jeff "Milkman" Creech from the other coast) for the weekend to offer a couple of days of tuning utilizing Super 7s inground Dynojet that is located in the Paddock at Buttonwillow Raceway.

If anyone has a contact at Bakersfield's dragstrip it would be most helpful.

We need either a nite that weekend or Monday for the drag races. Buttonwillow is taken care of and booked.

And we will have several cars that trap over 150 mph so I don't think BW's strip will do.

PS, Jason, the 402 LS2 has been built. Scoggins Dickey is bolting on the balancer and flywheel and checking the valve train geometry tomorrow and should ship sometime this week. I went with another set of TEA heads. This time the 6.0 L stage 3s. I am getting anxious as the car has been sitting since I saw you at LVMS. I very likely will bring the 98 as well as the CMC car to Cal Speedway.

How is Nick's build going?

Perry i just talked to Warren(track mgr)at buttonwillow, and the draag strip is 3800ft long he has timing equipment but you can't use slicks(no burnouts) just D.O.T. tire's.And he would need some notice to get the equipment checked,it req a generator to run it.

I'll call FAMOSO now.

Well just talked to Famoso(661 399 2210) and Blake(track mgr)is out of town till WED,he'll call me than. He'll want to know how many cars, are they all NHRA approved for those that need to be. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

I'll PM you
