First by a long shot in Luxury Sedan and 6th overall. Not bad for a 4200 lb. auto tranny stock V8, huh?

I showed a guy in my office a picture of that car and he loved it so much, it was almost unnatural...
I think it's great that rwd sedans are becoming common again. The SRT sure is an interesting car. |

Here's a couple of pictures of the One Lap car. Notice the flairs and the very low profile tires. The tires are 295/25/20. I had never heard of tires that low profile before.

Those flar's and the 2 red/blue strip's remind me of the old BMW race cars of past for some reason. Nice car though, 25 series tire's (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I was talking to Erich when he was at the Rack. We used to Autocross together in FS back in the late 80's and early 90's. We all ran 5.0 Mustangs back then along with Scott Nardin.
First of all he's a real nice guy and very good driver. He told me they whacked about 200 LBS of weight of that sucker by eliminating all the sound insulation and using a Lexan sunroof cover. The car was originally black before they added the fender flairs. He said they painted the car in about a days time. It looked factory to me. Oh I forgot it was done at the factory. The guys that impressed me the most were Danny Popp and Jerry Onk driving the #24 balck C5 sponsored in part by Dave Kutney Goodyear. Dave called me up and asked me to go down and give them shit. So I did. I gave Danny some advice on how to run the wet skidpad. They probably shouldn't of listened to me since that was one of their weaker events. What impressed me the most was the fact that Danny hadn't driven many of the tracks they competed on. He told me that his autocross experience would help him the most in learning the tracks in a short amount of time. I guess it worked as they ended up 3rd overall.
