Anyone attending the ALMS/SPEED World Challenge races in Portland July 29-31? I've lurked for quite a while and post every now and then but it'd be great to meet some of you folks in person. I'll be volunteering in the Corvette Hospitality tent on Saturday from 3-4 and on Sunday from 10:30-Noon.

Hope to meet some of you there,
Cy

Unfortunatly, I won't be there with the team, but stop by and say hello to Chris and Rob at the AutoSport Development camp. Checkout the new #7 GTO.

Lou will probably have lottsa activity as well. Say hello to Louis.

I hope to make it for the Corvette club track day in August, though.

I'll be working on Lou's team. He will not be racing at the event though. Apparently someone has rented the car for the weekend. I will be bringing all my gear just incase he cant cut t he mustard. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'll be there. Not sure where I'll be. I'll probably be a few places. ACNW will have something going, so I'll probably swing into the Audi hospitality tent. I also have a friend who does buisness with CompuWare, so I usualy get a chance to swing by the corvette racing pits.

PM me with some more info if you want to try to find a place/time to catch each other.

I'm not sure what our plans are for Saturday yet...may not show up until after lunch. We should be there all day on Sunday, though. We have a few friends in the Corvette corral so we'll probably be using it as home base. Hopefully we'll remember our FRS radios (usually channel 3, subchannel 8). Or there's always my cell phone: 503-720-1471.

With so much going on, we'll probably have to wing it but let me know if anyone wants to try arranging something ahead of time. I'll definitely try to stop by Lou's and the Autosport Development camp.

Cy,

I'll try to swing by the corvette tent between 3-4. I have a few friends who are going with the corvette group, I'll try to track you down.

Is this race on TV live? I miss these things too often lately. DirecTV gives crappy descriptions lately.....it just says "auto racing" half the time.

Unfortunately, I missed meeting any of you but still had a great time...even got to ride in the C6 Z06 that was on display in the hospitality tent (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Enjoyed Lou's little presentation about Corvette racing...though he wouldn't divulge how much power the LG 'Vette is making (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Cy,

Sorry I didn't catch you, I did swing by the corvette tent a couple of times, but was so busy catching up with all the people on my list, and trying to watch the races, I never got a good chance to try to track you down.

Not a problem...I didn't end up getting one of the yellow volunteer shirts so I just blended in with the crowd.
