Looking for some pedals, maybe with some blue neon, to really trick out my ride.
Just kidding, any camaro drivers have recommendations on pedals that move the gas and brake a bit closer for heal-toe'n? Thanks |

I'm interested in this too. I just sold the Porsche and the main thing I miss is the ease of heal-toe with the pedal setup. I know I saw a post on here a while back about getting a metal plate to widen the gas pedal, but that won't fix the problem of the gas pedal being to low compared to the brake.

Evan you could take a piece of Nylon 6/6 or some other composite and cut it out to the shape you want. You could also get it in just about any thickness from 1/8" to 1".

I modeled mine after something close to Craig's:

I purchased a spare and bent the gas pedal arm to move it over. I also bolted a exhaust hanger rubber doughnut to the break pedal so that when depressed was at the same height as the gas pedal.

I got the Autovation Pedals too. My wife got them for me for my birthday. I like them, installation wasn't bad either. When the brake pedal is depressed it lines exactly with the gas pedal and the extra ear makes it effortless to roll the foot over the gas. It did take a bit getting use too because the pedals are so close. I'll be stopping at the light revving the engine inadvertently. I haven't been to the track yet so I don't know wether the pedals are indeed too close and may cause problems during hard braking, but I think they will be ok.

Those Autovation pedals look really nice, did you guys get just the basic set, or did you get one of the different finishes available?

I just got the basic "competition series". Personally I think they look the best. If you look at them closely you can still see the machine work which it didn't bother me. Also the Brake and Clutch pedal are about a half an inch bigger all the way around than the stock ones. I was very surprise when I realized how small the rubber pedals really where. I also got a set of silver MacEwen Guage Overlays and they look killer together. I'm thinking about getting the heel guard too. But maybe later after I finish the current round of winter mods.

I got the matte finish. After a couple of years now the brake pedal is showing a bit of wear now (the matte surface is worn down to a shine) where my foot slides over to the clutch pedal. It doesn't affect function.
As far as fit you can't beat them. |
