Howdy,
I think it was because Team LG managed to "improve" the car enough to make it break down... :-) (ok, ok, cheap shot. But still... Why would you modify the car at all for that competition? Put the credits into tires & stickers and call it a day) I'd also like to know what happened to the corvette. Seemed like a cooling issue... What failed? I wonder if the Forza Motorsports xbox game has the cars breaking down all the time? :-) I especially like how whatshername won mostly because nobody there was clued in enough to know which lap she was on. Nice "race". Mark |

Just watched the final episode of this.....looks like the big, fat, LGM aluminum radiator killed the kid's chance at $100,000. Too bad, because that car was a nice ride! I wonder how much acutal choice they had on what to install on the cars come upgrade time..... Lou was saying they had all this power now,and no tires to put it down with, and it showed on the drag race. I wonder if each team just brought a bunch of their own parts, most of what I saw LGM taking off the rack had big LGM stencils on it, and they just bolted it on as they gained points, and not much actual strategy went on. Or maybe the show made the Corvette stick to "stock" tires to try and slow it down and equalize the cars....(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dunno.gif) On corvette forum Lou said they didn't let him put in the radiator, and some of the other upgrades they just showed them on tv and didn't let them put them on the car as a way to hold the corvette back from dominating. Actually, the car overheated on lap TWO! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) |

Imagine putting a splitter like that on one of our cars without turning it into a front breather with a ducted air box. I'll bet we'd overheat on lap two as well. |

Problem is...why didn't Lou and crew know that and not put the splitter on unless the cooling issues could be addressed? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) |

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif) Kinda ruined the whole weekend since I had to keep it under 3500 the whole time (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

The question that I would have is that the Corvette in stock form on day one ran 5 + laps (I think) on the road course and had only the check engine light come on, but no heating issues. Then, after adding some spoiler modifications that should have only helped the car's cooling, it can't make 3 laps without over heating.......something just doesn't add up.
