On LS1Tech, I like the "Tools of the Trade" forum.
Some nice threads concerning tools, shortcuts, alterations and fabrications to make working on these cars easier. On a truck forum I belong to, there is a "Towing" section that deals specifically with trials and tribulations of towing loads. Maybe the next step would be "Towing and Rigs", a forum to discuss things like what Keith started. But if there are other issues that come up like tire type, maintenance issues etc. with the rigs. I also think a Class Rules section would be nice. It would be a place where rules questions could be asked and those of you who live those rules can answer. Or we can just keep everything in General!!!! |

It would probably help out if we had a few different forums like that, just not too many sub-sub-sub-sub-forums like I've seen elsewhere. Just break it up enough to make searching for specific things a bit easier.
I kinda like to tool sub-forum also. Well, really, I think the suggestions you've brought up are good. Hmmm....what else could there be? Let me think about it for a bit. |

Do we need an engine/powertrain tech section? Either that or we start moderating those kinds of posts, because there are already a few on here that don't fit into an existing forum. Perhaps a General Tech forum?
Keep the ideas coming dudes, it'll just make the site better! |

I like the sections here already. But I agree, you should have a engine/power train section....probably for each LT1 and LS1....so I don't have to weed through LS1 stuff. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Thanks for the place to go! Randy |

I think adding an Engine Tech forum would be a good idea. We could use it to deal with problems that would arise under an AX/RR situation that would not normally come up with drag racing. We already have brakes & suspension, so why not engine, right?

How about someplace for us rookies to ask our questions? I know what I studied off the internet for autocrossing, but that barely begun to answer my queries... Also, if this type of UBB utilizes "stickies" a FAQ for certain sections would help a lot. At any rate, it would keep down the redundant questions like "What is Autocrossing?".
As far as tech sections go I dunno. What are we looking at... Suspension (of course), some sort of speed/performance section, since in AutoX we're not so much worried about getting faster as you are controlling what you have... The For Sale section is good. How about regional sections for like "Tennessee AutoX's" or "Texas Touring" etc... |

Regional forums are a good idea but I'd like to see our member size reach a certain "critical mass" before creating ways to dillute the traffic in each forum. I think we'd need to keep it regional, however, since having 50 individual state forums would be a bit much (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I think it's ok how it is, not enough people to warrant like 900 forums (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

When a certain forum is comprised of 50% from a similar region, then maybe spin that region off. I too don't want to see a bunch of different forums. Corner Carvers.com is a good example of simple is better |
