I got a call from a friend last night (AIX car, or formerly) that he is going to VIR next weekend (first weekend in Sept) for the American V8 race that they are running and he needs me to crew. I think My friend Bill and I are headed to VIR next weekend to help Brion from www.darkhorseracing.net (yes, I know it's a mustang). Is anyone else going to be at the event? If so, I'd like to get a chance to say hello (and we can always use help if anyone is interested).

Anyone???

Wish I could go there Kevin, but it's a long drive to VIR from here without a car to race. Good luck.

Yea. It seems to be a special type of insanity, but I've been working on that car since it was a "street" car. When it had a Jaz fuel cell and a 4 point roll bar. It's come a long way....

I'll be there. Its also the "Stock Car Spectacular Weekend" w/ Late Models and Craftsman Trucks. I was advised by our organizer, that there will be about 15 stock cars there. Hope to meet you. Mine is the # 7 car, blue. Prolly last.

But I do hope to finish. Granted its not an Fbody, but at least its GM!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Here's the "blurb" regarding the stock car w'end:

Anyone have a burning desire to crew? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If we don't destroy something on the Mustang (we always break stuff, it's just a matter of "what is it this time"), I may be able to help out somewhat. The Mustang is getting more reliable these days, so I may have time to try to lend you a hand.

Did you check the website? It will be easy to find us. We'll be the only orange 1971 Mach 1 racing, I can assure you of that.

I'll PM you my cell number. I'd like to get a chance to say hello at the very least.
