how did it come about that they wanted your car for the mag?
i like this trend if theres one there of both the fbody mags doing coverage on handling. that would be High performance Pontiac and GMHTP. now if only i could figure out what month GMHTP had those corner carving fbodies on the cover. any one know? |

A writer posted in the TX F-body forums inviting people to a free day at the dragstrip. You had to fill out a tech sheet, and submit several photos. The photos could be electronic or real. I made a CD that opened a web browser when inserted, and displayed 8 or 10 photos, and links to the full size images. I also put an in-car video of me chasing and passing a real Cobra R at Motorsport Ranch on the CD (I think that helped). A couple weeks later they sent me an email stating they wanted to do a feature on the car. It took a lot more time than I expected, and turned out less like I thought it would. But it was worth it in the end.

I thought that red T/A on the cover looked familiar, but didn't think any more about it until I read this post.
Congrats, Chuck, car sounds great! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) |

Formula WS6, it was the Oct. '04 issue of GMHTP with the handling F-bodies. The red Z28 is mine and the pewter TA is a friends car. It was a newstand only issue packaged with PHR. BTW, congrats 98_1LE on the HPP article. I picked up the mag today. Nice car and article! Mike |
