I'm not sure which forum to put this in, so mods please feel free to move it.

After stripping my car's interior, the hand brake lever mechanism is exposed. It looks bad, but the aesthetics are not a big concern. However, there are some sharp edges there, that I don't relish the thought of hitting with my arm.

Anyone have any suggestions for a boot or cover for this thing?

Unless you REALLY need it, I'd remove it completely, with all the rest of the cables etc. too. I used to have one in my IROC, but it was more touble than it was a help to me. I use chocks if I can't leave it in gear. [If its a track car only, of course] Otherwise how about a piece of leather sewn around it with .020" stainless safety wire? Make a pattern from cloth first of course.

What about using a shock boot, FWD CV boot, etc?
