There's a guy in T1 by the name of Ray Berkeley that was interviewed, but I believe his car is silver. It's his daily driver and he hangs out on the corvetteforum.com site. He's always selling used 315 Hoosiers for pretty good prices with one race weekend on them.

Now if a GT1 car was a daily driver that would be a sight to see. A GT1 car is only slightly different than a SCCA Trans Am racer.

Yeah, racing your daily driver at that level is a little CRAZY! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) The national boys can get quite serious! I did enough body damage the last two years in REGIONAL racing than I did in the entire 8 years prior....seems the guys up front don't like getting passed?!? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

It is a BLAST with the Camaro though...I can FLY by all those cars I used to battle with! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Did anyone see the wild mazdas in ssb? It was ruthless, it looked like a Saturday night stock car race at Ascot.

I remember (many) years ago guys running Vegas, Pintos, etc in SSC. They had bolt-in roll bars, vinyl numbers and would remove all the racing evidence, and take the car to the dealer for warranty work. Most of them drove to the track with their tents, tools, and friends for the weekend.
