...if any?

My motor is pretty tame compared to most on here (heads, cam, boltons, no cats) which pretty much makes it a summer-only street car. Anthony's car is probably the most aggressive street-driven one that I've seen (in person at least). How about you guys?

Edit -- I put on a little under 5K a year (April to September).

... with the exception of pulling it out of the garage to load up onto the trailer, it don't really see any 'street' time. And with the Rear Plate it's sporting, it's easy to spot.

Mine see's very little now.

I have two kids to tote back and forth to school, so it is much easier in my truck. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Mine will see as much as it can on weekends and evenings during the summer months. Right now it isn't that bad..once the cage is done and some body work started. Then it should be a head turner, it just sounds funny now (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Besides its way to interesting to see people's faces not to drive it on the street (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I drive the sadistic thing everywhere but to work. In the beginning I didn't want to take it anywhere, for fear of rock chips and scratches on the paint. After running over more cones in auto-x and scratching up the sides, bottom, front, and rock chipping the back 1/4 panels from Hoosiers burning out at the drag strip, and catching rock chips from the 10 million gravel trucks in Texas, I gave up on trying to keep it perfect.

What fun are you guys having that put NO street time on these things? Racing once a month isn't enough for me. Going out every weekend and racing once a month still isn't enough fun time either.

Ah but you know us young punks, I would daily drive Lous World Challenge Corvette if I owned it. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

At this point, nothing would feel like too much. The problem is money!! I have to have a tow vehicle, so for the time being it means the tow vehicle has to double as my street car.

My car is pretty streetable, but I only drive it once or twice a month outside of an event. I drive it more in the warm, but not hot or cold, months.

Probably around 8-10K this year. Its been as much as 35K in the past. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) The roads in this town are too beatup to be driving around on w/ a droped car and stiff springs plus I spend so much time driving from Austin to San Marcos for school that my front bumper looks like its been sandblasted. Mine is a daily driver for most of the year. However, the pre-emptive salt spray they put on the roads now anytime it MIGHT get cold keeps me from driving it as much in the winter now.

Well I did buy this car to drive. I will be a nice weather car to a point. Stored from first snow till it melts. I would say normal miles 5,000 a yr. But this yr is special, in a month aprox 9,000 miles, while the bulk of the miles 7,500 of them come in just 9 days!!!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) . John

Maybe 3k worth in commuting and other miscellaneous.

And about half that in travel to/from events.

Just in case everyone missed it, Karens 1LE has 288,000 miles!!!!!

First year we drove our car about 20,000 miles, then 10-12,000, then abuout 1,300.

At around 90,000 I had gears swapped and didn't re-calibrate the computer. So I actually has a little less than 104,000.

The only time it was driven last year was when my wife wanted to go somewhere in town.

This year?..Probbly none. It's obviously still streetable, it's just an ESP car. But miles will just wear the engine more, plus I'm starting to do things to reduce weight that is questionable on a street car.
Like removing the drivers air bag and the seat belts to install harnesses. Not needed but reduces weight.

My 2001 SS, SOM has 25K. Now that I have a trailer it will only see road time for testing. Or when the truck puke's.

My guess is very little road time after next year when full cage (have back half now), suspension (GC and LG upper lower control arms) and fire system installed.

Hope to have new radiator / oil cooler and accusump in this year.

Mine used to see very little. Then I blew the motor in my truck, so now my SS is back to a daily driver, but I only put on 10k a year or so.

I drive it daily. I am limited on parking and can only own 2 cars now (the Z and the wifes car). It's winter now and I drive it still. I tossed the snow rubber on it and "off we go". Besides, driving in this stuff is good training for the "limits of adhesion". Any autocrosser should be able to drive one in the snow (toe out and all)!

Once in a while to work on a sunny day and on weekends. Very little in the winter. Total, about 8k miles a year now. It seems like a bit of a waste driving it on the street after running it hard and fast on the track.
