I've got some stock rotors sitting on a shelf. I'm half tempted to take a photos of me laying out my drill design with a sharpie and "drilling" with a Dremel tool. Then photoshop some holes into the rotor.

(IMG:http://63.164.215.74/autos/firehawk/gorilla-lugs-far-tn.jpg)
I'm not really a photoshop expert, but apparently people are gullible enough to believe what I did to this, the original photo (taken to show the gorilla lug nuts on my street wheels)

I was inspired by this thread. Absolut, you have the best timing ever. This guy screwed me on a deal and I've been messing with him ever since. I hope you don't mind, I can always add a link to your other post to give you credit if you want.

Hey, that's not half bad photoshop work either! I think you should do another one where you drilled out the wheels and run inner tubes to reduce wheel weight and gained 3/4 seconds in the 1/4! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I was just reading the thread over at ls1tech and made it down to the graph. I laughed out loud! The wife turns to me and asks, "Are you laughing over there"? She didn't quite get it....

That graph is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I'm seeing a new Clickable Smile, right next to (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/bs.gif)

You guys think this is funny, but I met some Corvette ZR1 owners at Corvette Funfest one year that actually drilled their own rotors!! To make it even worse, they were telling everyone they could how much better their cars stopped now (without any facts to back it up).

i know some one who drilled their factory rotors on his 99 FRC. hes been around road atl many times and has had zero problems with the rotors and he was using PF Z rated pads. said he really liked the brakes. no saying i would have done it, but some people are willing to try

Well I had to resurrect this one because Ecklers now offers chrome rotors for the Corvettes. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I'll never understand the motivation that drives some of the Vette crowd.

Since this is at the top, speaking of scary stuff, http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=279060 . Nothing really wrong with what she did, but this:

QUOTE (S_J_H)
keliente,
I had some old factory ls1 piston pins I used for the end bushings since they accept a 14mm bolt with very close tolerance. I could have made it real simple and just used rod ends and tube end adapters like everybody else does. But I ended up doing a solid bushing with the bolt acting as a bearing surface since it is mucho cheaper and also stronger than a rod end, but the bolts will need to be greased now and then and replaced when it gets noisy, since they act as a bearing surface.
