Howdy, Just started using Firefox and this site seems to forget who I am... Everytime I visit, I need to re-log in, despite checking the "remember me" option on the log in page. This isn't happening with other forum sites. Any advice? Again, I suspect I need to tell Firefox to do something, but I dunno what the heck it'd be... :-) Mark |

It sounds like it's rejecting cookies from this site, but I can't tell you why. Try reducing your security settings and see if it fixes it (then there is a direction), or maybe you can approve cookies from this site. I'm not real familiar with firefox, so I'm just thinking out loud.

I should add that I don't block cookies at all and if I click a PM notification link in my email, authentication works fine. weird. think it's firefox.

Howdy, Yeah, I'm not blocking any cookies or anything like that. I've got the following cookies set according to Firefox: for site frrax.com topicsread (end of session) pass_hash (Friday, Nov. 10) session_id (end of session) member_id (Friday, Nov. 10) for site www.frrax.com session_id (end of session) Is there a chance that the forum is using www.frrax.com interchangeably with frrax.com and that it works under ie but not under firefox? Like I mentioned, other forums/cookies seem to be working fine, so I think there's something special about frrax.com here... Probably some interaction with something weird in firefox, but it'd be cool to figure out how to make it work... Thanks! Mark |

I know it works on Mozilla, IE, and a few others (I have a Linux computer at home and have 4 browsers on it and they all work). It seems to be a firefox thing, but I don't know why.

I use firefox too, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. When I get an e-mail notice about a topic reply the link keeps me logged in. If I surf over here on my own I have to log in, but it remembers my password so I just have a few extra clicks. On top of that Firefox also throws a few errors now and then and shuts itself off. Reinstalled it a few times, any suggestions? |

I use Firefox at home and work and have not had this problem. One of the Alfa sites I visit does that from home though.

I use a browser called Maxthon and like it more than Firefox (which I've used alot). I have no problems with sites remembering.

Howdy, I think there might be something related to the bookmark I was using for the site and IE & Firefox handling cookies a bit differently? My old bookmark was: http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/ Which didn't work. My new one is: http://frrax.com/rrforum/ Which does. The "member_id" cookie that the forum sets is under site frrax.com (not www.frrax.com), so perhaps FireFox was assuming that it was a different site and not giving it up? Not sure. But changing my bookmark seems to be working for me, the site remembers who I was between sessions, etc. Mark |

				I never cared before now but I fixed mine by bookmarking the front page with the session id number as part of the link. ie: h t t p : / / f r r a x . c o m / r r f o r u m / i n d e x . p h p ? s = 9 5 2 7 4 e e 0 f 4 5 6 3 2 5 0 3 d d b 9 f 0 3 a 1 b 3 1 7 1 f |

I personally think its how Firefox caches pages...because on the forum home it will show me as a guest, but as soon as I enter any of the forums, I'm logged in. Its not applying cookie to the main index for some reason.
