I wanna know how the hell they got so much power (is Motec magic? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ) and how they got to adjust brake bias while retaining ABS. any ideas? |

I'd also like to know about the brake system/bias to use with my abs. Future upgrade if reasonably priced.
I don't find the hp/tq as exciting - especially for what a Motec costs. I have 345hp/363tq with just an LS6 intake, air lid and hooker headers (otherwise my motor is bone stock). So they got 15hp/17tq more from a Motec and a hot cam?? I figure if I just added a small cam and ported/polished the heads I'd be over 400/400 easy (too much for my class though). Appears to be a fair price for that ride though. |

Our original intent was AI then we laid down 420HP with just the heads(stock valves) and ASA cam on the 3000 mile T2 short block. He has an interesting brake setup not sure why the proportioning valve. The restrictors/delay are an old trick that allows you to stab the brake without instant wheel hop. It'll help with that late brake move at the end of the straight at M-O. |

No plans to do a cam or heads at the moment. As it is i'll be extremely close to to the AI ratio with just ditching 100 pounds. No more power needed.
I'll chew on the brake thing. Man, wheel hop can be evil...I never lay into my brakes full tilt anyways, but certain courses I could use that delay mod. |

It'll run for 3 hours on a 20gal cell? Maybe if it's just idling or he's got the best fuel mileage ever (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
[edit] And the Motec sounds like a good way to spend a lot of money for the same power as a tune on the stock PCM. This post has been edited by nape: Nov 30 2005, 04:38 AM |

We used about 18 gallons in the 3 hr. Thunderhill enduro. I can see a 20 gal cell going all the way with a good pick-up...

It has been my experience that Mr. Aquilante is very proud of the cars he builds and not shy about exalting their potential.
