I bought a Tavia pyrometer and never used it, so I thought I'd see if anyone else needed such an item. I did open it and turn it on and try it (to see if it worked) and it seems very nice, I just haven't actually needed to use it. So, if anyone needs it, let me know.

$100 plus freight (these were $160+ new).

I found this:

QUOTE
Tavia's digital pyrometer provides quick and accurate temperature readings. K-type thermocouple provides fast response times required for timely measurements. Features include range of -405deg to +1999°F: switch selected C or F: 3 updates per second; easy to read large display. Includes battery and carrying case.

Pyrometer (Add to Cart) $195.00

I don't know who those guys are, but I think their price is a bit high (like I said, I think they were $160-ish new).

I didn't figure this would last long here. Are they cheap somewhere and I missed it?

use google and search and find what you paid for at Jegs in May (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

try: trackbird tavia Jegs and you'll probably find it. I found it just by searching for tavia to get more info on the thing. I don't particularly have any money at the moment... and to make matters worse my friend is trying to get me to buy a more recent truck (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) I dunno if I could live with myself driving a truck that looks decent while towing a corvette....

Ditto. My apprenticeship starts tomorrow, gonna be poor for 3 months. Guess I'll just have to make do with the infrared cheapo I have (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I couldn't remember what I'd paid. I was thinking it was about $100, but it appears I was wrong.
