I just noticed you were on this forum. How goes it? Heard anything from our buddy at Prospeed lately? For that matter...has anybody? Still haven't received anything from him, going on 6 months now.

Nope haven't heard a word. At least I did get my money back for the parts that he didn't send me. I don't know if he either finally saw what was going on and decided to do the right thing or what I sent the CC was enough for them to realize what he was trying to do. I think the website is down though. He never has called me and I really don't feel like wasting my dime to call him.
How did your sitsuation turn out? Really to bad because it was a nicely put together kit for a decent price...ya can't really go wrong with a Brembo caliper. Only thing I can say was a pain was getting the rotors, but I think when these wear down I'll just get a 2 piece floating one done and have a few made up if anyone else is interested when I get around to doing it. |

You didn't tell me you had one of Lou's old cars. Don't know what year it is do ya, or if it has a VIN tag...I'll have to send the pics to Louis tonight.

I never got anything more than an incomplete adapter kit. He still owes me some bits from the adapter kit, calipers, rotors, and a set of pads.
The car is a 93 I believe. It does have a VIN tag...I don't know what the VIN is at the moment. I talked to Lou briefly about the car, and I'll be sending him an email with some more questions. Any info I can get is helpful. I have some concerns about the brakes in particular, but Lou already told me that he thinks the pads I tried were a problem. |

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) E-mailed and called that guy EVERY OTHER DAY starting in January.....I threatened everything.....just his way of doing business I guess..... NICE KIT THOUGH....they stop on a FREAKIN DIME! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Let me know Anthony.....I would like to go the two piece system when done with my rotors as well. Seems as though there is a large crowd that got F'd in the A by Prospeed. After four months I got my money back, with a promise of a kit when " they were back from being anodized". Anodizing must take a long, long, long, long, long time. The last e-mail I got from Michael stated that he was no longer in the brake business. I ended up getting my calipers from another source that had a couple left for a good price, and the rotors I drove up to chicago to get from a Porsche dealership...he did however get me the brackets and hardware within a couple weeks of paying for them...so at least he did get me that much otherwise I'd be working on my own set of brakets.
I'm glad the guy is out of buisness, a guy that runs a shop like that doesn't deserve to be in buisness. Gary, I don't know if your going to hear anything back from the guy if he's shut everything down. Did you end up filing the lawsuit against him and the company then? If that car does have a VIN tag on it....and its a '93 car it might be one of the 19 1LE cars built that year. You'd have to call Chevy customer service to find out for sure though. What rear end is in that car? Randy...I believe that is going to be very similar to how the top of my fuel cell is going to look when its done. Mine is farther back, and has the surge tank inside instead of outside, and there will be less lines on top of the tank..but very similar to that. |

Anthony, put myself and mitch on that list of guys intrested in the 2 piece floating rotor set-up for this kit. also, have the hat offset so we can remove the 1/2" and 7.5mm spacers. that way i can have a hubcentric spacer made.
