Due to current medical condition and medical bills, the 1983 Z-28 Camaro is up for sale.
It is a roller right now with an AutoPower bolt in cage, and LS1 solid frame mounts installed, camber plates and Koni Yellows.
History:
This car was originally built by Bob Denton and Sidney Franklin and was initially raced by Sidney in Midwestern Council of Sports Car Club's American Grandsport class. I do not remember how many wins Sidney had , but I do recall him and Bob were always at the top of the Point Standings.
I purchased the car from Camaron McElwrath in 2006. Cam had it in NASA AI with a LS1 and 6 - speed drivetrain, but had issues with the engine. I beleive he had a now defunct shop called the Horse Power Factory prep the car for him for 2006 season.
I am asking $ 3,000 or best offer for everything I have for it
Parts List:
Used- spare 9-bolt rear axle assembly, 16" wide Kirkey Intermediate seat w/o cover, 1 WC T-5, 1 regular T-5 (needs new tail shaft housing), 6 16x8 Iroc wheels with Toyos RA1's mounted, 3 OEM electric fans, 1- estra dash pad with 2 cracks, 2 radiators, 1 exhaust system that is a dual set up with glass pack mufflers, 1 custom stainless exhaust system that is for use with short/ intermediate style headers, and 2 extra window nets (out of date)

New- Set of Koni single adjustable Yellow shocks and struts (the shocks are fourth gen for easier adjusting), 23 mm chrome moly rear sway bar, 1 chrome moly panhard bar, 1 Torsen T2 differential, set of moog coil springs (oem with ac specs), Driveshaft loop, polyurethane trans mount, fuse block, Goodrich Stainless Steel braided brake lines, and gas fill.

Brake System-
1998 LS1 conversion in the works. Used Master Cylinder and vacuum bosster, brand new front and rear rotors, brand new front and rear PBR Calipers, used caliper saddles, and new conversion brackets. The front brackets are done, but I am still in the process of getting the rears completed, there are some adjustments that need to be made.

Engine- 1980 305 bored .030 over, crank is freshly ground and champhered, cylinder heads are rebuilt and done. Next step is ready for balancing and reassembly.

I also have an engine that I have stored, it was running well when we pulled it out of a 1990 Camaro. I need to verify if it is a TBI 305 or TBI 350, I do not recall what it was.

The engines and brake system may be negotiated out for less money.

I drove down to Southern IL to look at that at that car July 05 or 06, I can't remember which year. I thought real hard about buying it, but we (Cam and I) couldn't agree to a price, and I was pretty broke. He had some high dollar brakes and a full catalog worth of everything else.

I was wondering when I'd see that car come up again. He never told me it's history back to Bob and Sidney.

Did that LS1 harness that I bought from you come from that car?

I think the medical bills are what is prompting the sale. Having sold my firebird for the same reason I can relate. And that was before I was unemployed now I have to pay insurance out of pocket to the tune of $600+ a months, but then again when they cover the $5,000 treatments my wife get every 3 weeks, I'm getting a bargain. Todd I'm praying for your health bro and good luck on the sale.

FRAAX Members,
I need to sell.
$ 1,000 for just the roller, $ 2,000 for everything except engines, $ 2,250 for everything.
I did forget to list the 2 aluminum driveshafts, Edelbrock 2101 Performer Intake, and the Holley #4776 600 cfm carb that goes with the package.

I know you are trying to get rid of everything in one shot but I'm interested in some of the parts you have. Right now I'm thinking of the Konis and the WC t5.
