Hey guys, here in VA we have an event we call wacky wensday. Think of it as Pinks all out in a circle! Pretty fun time. I ran the T/A "just cause" and I ended up going into the quater finals on street tires! Heres a video, I run around the 3:15 min mark, just after the Prelude hits the wall. Let me know what you think.

My son is running his 99 Z28 out there almost every wed. I won't be back out until maybe Wed 19th perhaps, but next time I'm bringing my A game, or should I say A6 game. I was the only one in the runoffs on street tires last time.

Yes that does look fun. That wall looks a little unforgiving though.

Yep, wall 1, Prelude 0
game over

I'm more worried about someone losing it and hitting me, than the wall...

I'm surprised Gil is out there. With what he's invested in his Corvettes through the years, he could certainly be racing wheel to wheel. I did something like that at Southside Speedway years ago in my Vega.

I think he comes out for the time trials and the yearly points. There's a pretty good prize at the end of the year for the series champ. That car is now prepared for VIR and Summit Point. It has a huge carbon fiber wing and front splitter. It looks pretty good. That car is an 05 Z06 that I think he got with a salvage title, but I'm not sure.

I heard he bought a Z06. He's had 2 other Corvettes in the past that he autocrossed. Both were automatics, (blew the engine at one of our events in one of them) but he was always damn competitive. I think he became a little disgusted with the events VMSC was putting on, (too tight), and we haven't seen him in a while. What did that Mustang have that beat him?

since Wacky Wendsday esentially has no rules or classes it's a run what you brung deal. There are about 5 super fast mustangs that are all out built race cars. Full cages, trick flow motors, NOS ect... Yes, you can even spray there if you dare. those of us who bring rule prepared track cars are at disadvantage unless you figure in the experience/sorted/balanced side of the equation.

Did you ever spring for that vette?

$15 to get in the pits and run your car or $5 to sit in the stands and drink beer (which you can bring your own) and heckle the imports that hit the wall!

it would be fun. I wonder how far I could get with my fairly bone stock 183,000+ mile 00 Z. I havent been to there in a while. I really should. Any track time is better than none.

The closest oval track to me is dirt so I don't really want to take my Camaro out there. That looks like a blast though. Get us some videos of you with the A6's next time.

I guess there is no excuse for then. I will be there soon. Some new pads and rotors are needed first. They are almost worn out. Then I can melt the rest of my Fuzion ZRi tires so I have an excuse to get some decent tires.

I never sprung for a Corvette. Instead, I bought an old Chevy Monza to race in ITA. I managed to damage the engine in my first school, and haven't fixed it yet. BUT, it is a hell of a rush and I hope to get it fixed soon.

Yeah, autox is still a go, cone rash is easier to buff out than wall rash! Here's a link to the next event locally for you.

Deadline to sign up for base access is today!

I didn't do enough to make the highlight reel, but I went down to the final 8 cars out of 52. I smoked my clutch on my first run so I was limping most of the rest of the night. Here's the guy that put me out.

I really like that white 'stang, that thing must really be set up, that looks like the one that bumped that vette off in the first video. For some sick twisted reason I LOVED watching that mustang beat the vette.

1meanZ, Yeah that stang is really set up well, full cage, trickflow topend of the motor and he's running A6's with a 410 gear. The gear is what does it for him. That's the same white mustang beating me in the lower link

Rocky, Little Creek Amphib base on Sunday, You actually have till the end of today if you want to try and make it out. Autocross.us is the local site with all the links to local races, both down here in tidewater as well as Richmond.

And Yeah, that's my boy hitting the wall with the silver camaro... Young and Dumb...
