Hey guys we need a rough headcount on how many decals everyone wants to Brent can determine if he can handle it and what the pricing will be.

Here's the design Gary made which most people have settled on...

(IMG:http://www.krichbaum.net/frrax/frrax4.gif)

http://www.krichbaum.net/frrax/frrax4.gif

Simply reply with the number you would want.

We'll probably offer a second smaller mono color decal as well. But for now just reply with how many you want of this one.

Size for this one is roughly 3x6 or 3x7.

We could have a design with the 3rd gen outline too, although having this will decrease the number of each needed resulting in a higher price per. You might want to see how many want the 3rd gen outline just to get a feel for it. If there are only a couple, I might be able to help out by doing a couple of them if they don't need to be static cling (I don't have any of that material).

Gary,

I understand the economics behind it, whatever the final design is, I will purchase one, to help support the site. there is no need to try to make a one-off sticker. Although if you are offering to make one i would take you up on that (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I just want to know if this is going to be a "block" sticker or is this something that we can lay on the car and do the credit card scrape and then peel off? I am not to fond of big square bumper sticker looking things.

I think Gary's final design turned out great, and should work well in a fairly wide range of sizes. Even for a small version I like Gary's version better than text alone.

For the black outline design, what about printing it on white but trimming it to leave a white silhouette border around the outside, still with white fill inside? The border could be smoothed a bit to make it easier to cut, (no need to follow each letter and detail) while still following the basic outline. This should be a lot easier (cheaper) to make and apply, would look good on all car colors (even white and black), and would not look like a bumper sticker.

****

I will buy all of the following, or whichever is actually produced:

2 black outline for the car, can be either cut or printed on white (block or silhouette).

2 for the trailer toolboxes, can be either black outline printed on white (block or silhouette), or cut white outline (but not cut black outline)

2 clingers, any reasonable size, with printed (not cut) white outline on clear background, or black outline on white silhouette), made for use on the inside of the windshield.

2 small printed, clinger or sticker.

They should be available with the car outline and letter outline in black or in white. That's really up to the guy that's making these regarding what color combos will be available, but I believe that will be the case.

I emailed Gary in the middle of last week about them. He's working with Brent on the design. They were having problems getting the image into a usaeable form for Brent. I'm sure Gary will chime in with an update when he hears back from Brent.

Hey Rob!

Yes! I got a pattern from him that I was able to kinda make work.  I'm going to have to modify it though to "fix" it.  I'm off this weekend and will be working on it between now and then for ya!

UPDATE:

Brent is finished with the design. It took him a while to get it into a format that his machine could read. I told him the numbers and that some wanted a white car outline. 3rd gens might be out of the picture since it took so long to program in a 4th gen outline. Brent should have prices shortly.

I also mentioned to him adding a $1-2 markup and mailing Chris a check after most of the decals are ordered. Hopefully he can do that so people could just buy the decals direct from him.

BTW, we're at roughly 100 decals requested. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
