my moser is finally quiet!
i've had the moser 12 bolt with 4.10's for about 3 years. its a whiney SOB. but cartek just install some moser 4 series 3.73's for me (a better gear choice for me since i don't really drag race anymore). and its so much quieter. just a tiny hum on acceleration, but real quiet on decel and coasting. i'm very happy. add to that my super quiet exhaust (SLP dual/dual and 18" bullet muffler in the I-pipe), and maybe my wife won't mind being a passenger in it anymore. but when i race, i have the electric cutout to make the car really sing (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

looking forward to getting a bit more MPH at the next RR event (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Glad you got the whining to go away ! I have tried everything with my 4:11's and pretty much these Moser rear ends just whine alot ! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant.gif) Oh well, maybe someday when I get a turbo I won't need all that gear multiplication and I can do a 3:45 / 3:54 / 3:73 (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Moser reportedly has a monkey doing the gear setup. Seriously, if you want quality, look to Strange or Currie. Moser builds to a lower standard. I don't know if this is their intent or not but I have bought from them and the tolerances on the machined parts are poor. They are off of my list of axle and gear suppliers.
