Does anyone have any knowledge of the 3.5 liter engine being used in the 2006 Impala's? I can buy an '06 for less than an '05 LS. I prefer the LS, but it has leather seats, and my wife doesn't care for them.

As if this wasn't goofy enough, the LT has a 3.9 liter engine, and the LS is now the standard Impala with a 3.5 liter power plant. The Hyundai Sonata looks better all the time.

Dang....a $ 22,000 beater is out of my range. In it's defense, (according to a C&D test), the new Sonata ran the 1/4 in 15.5, @92mph. Her 5.0 Mustang ran it in 15.3 @93 mph. To be honest, I don't what to buy for her.
