Was prowling around on Grant's site this morning to see what is needed to hold on my purty little horn button. (just to cover up the bolts...)

Looks like the 3196 kit comes with a retainer ring that sits on top of the wheel, and the horn button clips to it around the edges. I probably had one with my wheel at one time and threw it out.

Anybody got one of these laying around for cheap? Trying to avoid buying the whole kit when I don't need any of the other pieces in it...

It's the brass looking piece in the picture, on the right side, in the middle:

Nobody has one of these retainers floating around?

Looks like I may have to buy the $26 kit just to get one...

Good thing I got the whole kit. It comes with 3 "shoulder" bolts that are necessary for attaching the wheel to the hub. Otherwise a normal bolt will put pressure on the fiber ring that's attached to the brass ring. The shoulder bolts put the pressure directly on the steering wheel.

Also it's the fiber part of the ring that holds the button on, not the brass part.

The kit was only $16 at Jegs. Got it at the same time I was getting the rod ends for my lca's... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
