Howdy,
Ok, the car I just picked up only came with Nitto whateverthehell R2 semi-R compound tires. I need to get a set of 275/40-17 street tires. Anything with good thread would be fine, I don't care about anything other than good rain performance. Need to be fairly cheap. Looks like I can get Sumitomo's or whatever they're called for $88/ea new. I'm in Youngstown, OH. Anyone got anything? Want a stock '99 front brake system or a hitch in trade? Mark |

seriously mark, how much do you intend to drive the beast on the street? just run the R's. there are lots of guys who run RA-1's for street rubber. You won't see me driving around the street on my v710's, but I drove it with the escta v700's on the rear. The nice thing about R's on the street is silent wheel spin so the cops won't hear you (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Howdy,
Yeah, I thought about that. The problem is when I want to go somewhere with the car and can't because its raining. Then I started thinking about how I'd probably want some street tires for it if it rained at a track day... What I was _really_ hoping for would be that someone would have something laying around taking up space that they got with some rims they bought or whatever... :-) Mark |
