So I get this email today:
"i seriously want to be in a demolition derby, maybe when i recover from buying a car, we can get a car and ill do it. It will be great, in fact i think i will read about it on the internet now

thinking about that made me miss carpocolypse."

(If you saw the shows one and only season last year, you know what she's talking about)

Are you kidding me? demolition derby?

Haha, that is hilarious. But like Kevin said there are worse things.

That's awesome! My wife watched carpocolypse and thought it would be a lot of fun to do. Fortunately we already have a race car in the garage and a beater in the backyard (which, in our defense, is not on jackstands or cinderblocks (but does have a spark plug jb welded into a head)).

Our dryer is close to breaking if you need one to put on your girlfriends demo derby car...?

I've kinda always wanted to drive in one of those. Figure it's like some of the HPDE's we've all heard of/seen and I know what I've got going in (no surprises).

yeah, my tone was kinda in jest. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I think it would be crazy fun to do and a blast to prepare for. For some reason I'm really looking forward to doing the prep job.
I'm already browsing craigslist for such items.
If we do it, we have a few months to get ready.

Too bad you are in TX... I have the perfect car... 1985 ford crown victoria station wagon, 302. Remind her to hit the cars with the back of the car, not the front where the radiator is. (I haven't done a demo derby, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night)

Our local dirt track is having a demo derby this year....the first they have ever had. I would do it, if I could find a junker for nearly free. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
