Ok, many of you know that I've been looking for a 3rd gen to play with. I've come up with an idea and a potential car. The question is, how much of this stuff could I find homes for? It's all currently on my car, but I've finally started to work out a plan to buy a 3rd gen (which is why there is no rear suspension stuff listed (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). If I can get enough of the stock stuff lined up (I think I've got most all of it already) and enough buyers for enough parts, I am getting interested in stripping the car and buying something with the money from the parts. My wife is much more happy when I do projects like this without using any "new money", so I'd be selling these parts to finance the new project. All prices are "rough" and I might be open to offers/combinations. So, the questions are:
1. Are my prices reasonable? (I've not checked prices on many of these items lately, I already own them so I wasn't concerned what they cost today, which is partially why I'm asking) 2. Will people actually part with cash for such items? 3. Can I move the bulk of this in a reasonable time period? If the answers to all of the above are "yes", I may procede with plans to get started. All parts are currently on my 2002 Z28 and will fit most 4th gen cars (all?). Shipping would be extra or you could pick stuff up in the Columbus, OH area. And again, if I can't move most of it, I'm not going to start pulling things off of the car. So, I guess that this is an "everything must go" sale, or I'll leave the car as it is. Here's the list: $575 front Koni DA's with H&R 600 in lb springs and perches/mounts (assembled, ready to drop in) Gone. $50 BMR STB (black finish) Gone. $700 6 piston wilwood kit (with "Thermolock" piston heat shelds) using C4HD rotors (Precision brakes kit) and Ferodo DS2500 pads (50% or so left, maybe more, possibly a good bit more). Kit requires LS1 spindles and fits 10 spoke wheels without spacers. No charge for the patina of brake dust. Sold. $50 spare Hawk HP+ pads (75% or more) for wilwoods and 4 extra backing plates for the 6 piston calipers (to have relined at Carbotech or similar) Sold. $30 SLP TCS module (disables TCS when you start the car) Sold $55 SLP "lid" (with hose and elbow for 2001-2002 vehicles) Sold. $20 K&N air filter (with partial recharger kit) Going with the car. $25 Amsoil filter (with can of oil) $70 U-haul hitch with "gooseneck" and ball (I might keep this for the next car, but not sure yet). going with car, too lazy to bother pulling it, it's been a long week $10 Trailer light converter (needed for cars with amber turn signals) staying with hitch on the car $85 ST 35mm front sway bar with poly bushings Pending. $450 10 spoke SS wheels (lots of brake dust but round and no curb rash) with Dunlop Graspic DS2 snow tires $275 global west front upper control arms (del-a-lum bushings) with Moog Problem Solver balljoints (Eugenio has first shot at these). I'd need stock arms to put on the car before I can pull these off. Sold. $85 ported/polished (and epoxied) throttle body (Shaner, Bauer, etc, not sure which), also externally polished with black powdercoated throttle arm (I'd need a stock one (core?) to put back on the car). $45 MSD LS1 wires (brand new in box) Sold. $50 Pair of used front hubs (studs have been removed), should be in good, servicable shape. Sold. $75 2001 Helm service manuals (if I sell the car, I'll sell the books) EDIT: Given my choice, I'd like to make as much of this local pick up as possible. Meaning, if someone can come get it, and someone else wants it shipped, the local pick up will probably "win". I don't have a ton of boxes and shipping some of this will be tricky (but I can get it done if needed), so that's my preference. I may also part with these items: $375 rear shortened DA's (Rebuilt in late 2004/early 2005 and shortened 1" on the body and 1" on the shaft, they are 2" shorter when fully extended and about 1" shorter when compressed) |

I meant to ship that much sooner, but I was out of town for a few days and had a difficult time getting it to the shipper. Sorry for the delay. |
