I have a 94 Civic automatic tranny. Anyways... for a little bit, the tranny stick has been tough to move from any position (P, R, N, D, 3, 2, 1) This week-end, i went to use it and it moved like butter, but wasn't getting out of P, at least that what it seems like. What am i looking @ is it something that can be fixed ? or should i be looking for a new tranny ? |

Somewhere on the transmission case, you will find a lever with a cable attached. It will then wander under the car (probably right down the center), up through the floor and connect to the shifter. If you find the lever and move the shifter and the other end doesn't move, then that's your answer. It should be easy to check.
