Thanks Brad for helping me adjust the toe last weekend at Willow Springs. I hope your car feels better.
Toe was in 1" on passenger side (strange) and steering wheel was coocked right after the warm up lap on Sunday. I ran into CMC-er Brad in the pits who found a set of toe plates and helped me get the bird flying straight and narrow again. The car ran very well afterwards, and I found the 3 seconds that have eluded me for the last year at Willow. My time in the last session on Sunday moved me from 6th (last) place to 2nd in TTB. The 4 f-bodies that run in SoCal TT competition finished as follows: Dolan grabbed 1st on Sat. and 1st on Sun in TTD; Weber won 1st on Sat. 2nd on Sun in TTC; I got a miserable 6th on Sat. 2nd on Sun in TTB; and Wheeler is still Missing-in-Action (still in Blain's shop). Blain! Finish Wheeler's car Already! We need him to win in TTA or TTS to prove that F-bodies rule no matter what class they run in. |

That's encouraging to see that F-bods can compete in time trials. I think that will be my goal to start competing in TT. With the mods I have now I'll be in TTS (i think, it's the low power unlimited class) but I am very, very underpowered. I'm planning on fixing that. I've never been to a NASA event. Assuming I get close to the HP/wt limit, am I crazy to think that I can be competitive in TTS? |
