All parts are used with between 10K-25K miles of street use and some minor weekend play. All parts are (functionally) like new condition with no damage (other than minor scrapes of powder coat or other cosmetic). NONE have any damage or issue and are being sold only because I am doing an entire redesign of the car (ground up). In short, I don't need the stuff and it's better going to someone else than sitting around my house. Please, with that said, understand that I am already knocking at least 1/2 if not 2/3 of the cost off basicly new parts.

What is the benefit that the Manual Brake Kit ( http://www.burkhartchassis.com/fbodycomponets.html ) provides? Jason I did it for a couple of reasons. Better pedal feel, weight reduction, and curiousity. (I guess that's three reasons actually...) I don't have abs anymore, and wanted the ability to feel the brakes better, to help manage threshold braking. The car has been on the road only twice since then, working out tuning bugs. No hard stops yet. The biggest change is that it takes a good bit of pressure to get the brakes to start working. But not a lot more pressure after that, to get a lot of braking. I used the Billingsley setup. Basically the same thing, except there's no included bracket for mounting the proportioning valve directly to the master cylinder. I'm not sure having that brake line loop higher than the fluid level is a good thing anyway. That would be easy enough to modify though. |
