I saw a Mallet Solstice at the local autox yesterday. He was not running, but I think he wants to. I think that could make one hell of an SM2 car. The LS2 seemed to fit very well and didn't look out of place in the car at all. He said they now have an LS7 option and they have an option for a T56 instead of the Solstice 5 speed. If I only had money.

It won't be competitive in SM2 at 3000+ pounds. The challenge in building an SM car is putting one together that meets minimum weight, can fit the widest tires allowed (275s, I believe), has good suspension geometry and can make usable power. Turbocharging the NA 2.4 Solstice and putting it on a serious diet would be the way to compete. The Mallett car would make for a fun trackday rat, though.
