my work requires the use of Streets and Trips and Street Atlas both. i use a USB GPS rx that came w/ the streets and trips program. street atlas is easier to use. i also have a dash mounted Garmin 5 that sits and never gets turned on these days. i use the PC based (laptop) stuff almost every day. i never leave home on a long trip w/ out it no matter how many times i've made the trip. most surprising feature - resturant finder! set the thing to look for a set few resturants you pick (or any available) and set the radius around your current location (determined by GPS) and set the refresh time. it continuosly looks for places to eat, or sleep, or get gas, rest stops, police stations, parts stores. whatever!
