That about says it. I need (4) 17x11 wheels prefferably with a 36mm offset but since I am buying wheel adapters so I can mount them on a 3rd gen anyway almost any offset will work. If someone has 17x10 I would consider those as well. I live in the Buffalo New York area so unless rushman is selling me his you will need to be willing to ship them.

Have you test fit 11s up front on a 3rd gen? I run 315/40/17 on 17x11 on the rear and 295/40/17 on 17x9.5 on the front and the fronts barely fit, even when the car has been lowered 1.75". You may get by if you are running CP and can cut the fenderwells a bit (or buy GT1 fiberglass fenderwell kits). I know the Mustangs run 15" wide rims in the DC region (after cutting out about 5" of fenderwell w/ a sawsall). They only stick out about 6" beyond the fenderwells making them great for straightaways, but lousy for slaloms.
Hope they work, but you will probably have serious oversteer problem with this setup. 17x11s work great on 4th gens, but 3rd gens have much more oversteer naturally than 4th gen cars and will probably have too much with the 315s all around. My 91 1LE is perfect with 275 or 295s up front and 315s in the rear. The 315s definitely hook up better off the corners. I would recommend getting a set of 9.5/11s instead. I recently purchased a nice set of black Grand Sport knock offs from OE Wheels in Florida for under $550 shipped. You can find them on EBay. The only problem is that you can't rotate the tires. 91 1LE Camaro, L98 vette block, LT4 hotcam, roller rockers, Stealthram intake, alum. heads, AS&M 58 mm throttle body, headers, custom tune, 900/250 springs, Koni SAs, 36/25 bars, Torsen T2R w/ chromoly axles, custom T5 tranny w/ forged gears, etc... 99 Camaro SS, LS1 w/ Predator tuning, SLP airbox, Koni DAs, Strano 35/22 bars, Strano 550/180 springs, UMI torque arm, 1LE bushings, UMI subframe on order. |
