Hey folks, those of you that ordered a 35mm hollow bar from Sam may want to crack the box open and look at the bushings. Apparently Addco shipped some of the bars (one of mine included) with 1 1/4 bushing(s) instead of the 1 3/8" bushings it should have. I thought those of you that were waiting for a rainy day to do the install should check now to be sure you have the correct bushings.

QUOTE (93RedDevilZ28 @ Apr 15 2004, 06:01 PM) I think I may have the wrong bushings as well. With all of them (and washers) on the endlink bolt, there's not enough bolt to go through the bar and have room to screw the nut on. This thread is about the bushings for the brackets that hold the bar to the chassis, not the endlink bushings. Your problem is "simply" that with the car on jackstands and the wheels drooping (instead of using ramps), the holes the endlinks mount in are not parallel - it's not related to the mount bushing issue. I left a tip in your other thread that may help, though. |
