How many of you racers have moved the battery to the trunk to help balance out the front/rear weight ratio? Is it helpful? What other options are there to assist in balancing the car?

Heh... Nope, not in the trunk - that's a crush zone. Get that fender folded around the battery and ripped sheet metal cut thru the + cable and you'll have a fire going that can't be stopped with the cutoff switch, and maybe not even an extinguisher - it can just cool it down until the battery is dead. Fuel tank is back there, too.
I put the battery box and + cable within the confines of the cage. |
