You can all shun me for not buying an SCCA rule book yet. I thought I had the right info but it turns out I may have been led astray. I got my info from this site http://www.azsolo2.com/classes/ModificationsSpreadSheet.htm This site is now defunct and I can't verify what i read here anymore. The question is concerning wether I should be in SM or SM2. I SWEAR the spreadsheed on the link above said no engines larger than 5.7 liters in SM, and SM2 allowed engines up to 8.0L or something like that. I'm now reading and been told that SM2 is for light small 2 seater cars and that I should be in SM. is this correct? If I've been in the wrong class all summer I'm going to really feel like a jackass but I'm contesting that I was fed the wrong info. I'm sure someone here can point me in the right direction. Feel free to point and laugh if necissary....

SM2 sounds fine to me. You can run an SM legal car in SM2 if you want. FWIW I don't know if your car is legal for SM, but if you want to check go here:
