Not my video, but thought I'd post a link here since it's an ITE Camaro. This track looks pretty scary from a run-off standpoint. Anyone here been on it?

That's my in car video from a race at Pacific Racways earlier this year. This road course was built in 1960 and although it has had many improvements during the last several years, it's still pretty close to it's original configuration and surface conditions. In 1960 there were hardly any trees around the track, but in 47 years the track became pretty heavily over grown. The owner has trimmed back a lot over the last few years, and it has made it seem less "tight". I don't really consider it that tight though, probably because it's my home track and I've become pretty confortable there. It's a pretty fun track though with great elevation change. There are pl

Yep, I got the 383 put together and installed early last year. I had TJ Wong tune it and we were able to get 392rwhp / 393rwtq, and that was with a bad coil. The engine made about as much as I was hoping for. I won my first ITE race with this combo right out of the box! There is still some time to be had at PR for my car. I'm hoping to get into the 1:33's or 1:32's with a little more practice. My ITE competition is getting faster every race. The only problem I have had is that I keep breaking rocker arm studs. I'm going to put in ARP studs this winter so hopefully that problem will be solved. Do you have any plans to get out there with us and do some wheel-2-wheel ITE racing with your car? I hope so! |
