Not my video, but thought I'd post a link here since it's an ITE Camaro. This track looks pretty scary from a run-off standpoint. Anyone here been on it?

Grabbing first gear when I needed third. Hard. Twice in a row. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) I did the same when I came out with my new motor this year.....must be like hitting golf balls in water traps huh? Difference was, my bullet proof Advanced Induction Solid Roller valve train kept me from ANY damage..... ....to the engine (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) The rear end didn't like that shock too much though and blew up shortly thereafter This post has been edited by rmackintosh: Nov 14 2007, 12:59 AM |

Difference was, my bullet proof Advanced Induction Solid Roller valve train kept me from ANY damage..... Heh, I wouldn't recommend counting on that in the future. Mechanical overrevs of that sort can and will break stuff no matter who's name is on the valvecover. Consider yourself lucky.... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) |

I did it a total of 4 times on two separate weekends....I dunno why I started doing it....and I have now STOPPED thankfully! |

....oh it wasn't Advanced Induction who saved the day.... I'll tell you what saved the day. See, with my giant-ass spoiler and UETA they just plant the rear so much harder it breaks the engine! You just didn't have enough traction! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) QUOTE rather the Xceldyne Components and NASCAR base PSI springs that saved the day.... Good stuff. PSI springs are great and Xceldyne...hey, a certain CC.com Moderator is an Engineer there so what do you expect? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Discounts available for non-AssClowns! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) As you know, I've always been a proponent of not skimping on the valvetrain. I'm glad I didn't or it could have been so much worse. I'll know more after taking it appart, but so far I'll I've found is a cracked pushrod. A 3/8" thick-ass walled Manton. It takes a hell of a lot of force to crack one of those! A lesser one would have folded like pretzal and parked me at the very least as would have a weaker rocker or stud...had a spring or retainer gone it could have easily taken the bottom end right there in a matter of seconds but all that stuff came through perfect. So I just kept driving like nothing had happend and even drove two more events. Nothing will be invincible but I think buying good stuff here is usually going to end up being a wise investment.
