For those that have the 36mm offset ZR1 wheels could you please do me a big favor, I need to see how much room if any there is between the stoptech brake caliper and the back of the spoke on these wheels by using this fitmitment guide from Stoptech?
http://www.stoptech.com/wheelfitchart/PDF/camaro.pdf I contacted AFS and they basically told me they wouldn't check. Said they built them to clear the stock calipers, duh no kidding. I even sent the exact link above to tell me if they would fit and said they would not be able to tell for me (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I would really appreciate it very much if someone could do this for me!!! I'd even send a few bucks your way for doing this as well (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

QUOTE (RedHardSupra @ Apr 22 2004, 09:07 AM) I got the exact setup you need to check, but i'm a mechanical moron, so you gotta give me a picture or something on what I am looking for. Pictures with arrows are best (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I basically need to have you go to stoptech's website the link that I provided above. Its in a PDF format. Print it out and cut it naturally on the outer lines of the diagram and then take that diagram and place it onto the 36mm offset wheel in the appropriate locations. Basically you center the cut out diagram onto the back of the wheel hub. So it looks like its the actual caliper and rotor(Half of it anyways) actually inside the wheel but in a paper format of course (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) And just move the diagram around inside the wheel to make sure or see if it makes contact with any of the spokes or clears everything. If so how much room estimated do you think there is. If you need some more detailed info let me know and I can send some pics of of what I mean. I really appreciate this if you can do it. Thanks Josh |
