Sometimes (most times?) anime does not translate too well to live action. Let's hope this one is an exception to that rule. It's funny but back then when I was 6-9 years old, I did not even realize it was Japanese anime (Astro Boy as well). They seem to have taken some stylized liberties with the Mark 5, but it seems close enough to remain authentic. Sometimes I've wondered at the irony that the other Japanese ride also named MKIV that everyone seems to believe can do all that the anime one could and much more. Do you think that Toyota planned it that way?? I wonder who will play 'Racer X'??
