I just stumbled across a 24ft enclosed haulmark trailer for $2000. It's a 1990 model with a side door and dropgate/ramp in the rear. The guy says it needs a new hinge on the side door and that there's a small leak in the roof that needs to be fixed, but other than that it's in good shape.
I eventually planned on upgrading to an enclosed trailer from my open trailer, but this seems like it might be a good reason to do it sooner rather than later. I haven't really priced these used but is this a really good deal? |

Howdy,
You probably won't find one for less, so in that sense its a good deal. But look it over pretty carefully to see if you'll end up spending more money fixing stuff up than makes sense. I think you can get a bare bones 24' enclosed brand new in the $4k to $5k region. Add 110vac wiring, atp floor, cabinets, etc. and the prices will quickly go north of $8k. Crawl under the thing and get a good look at it. Check out the brakes/hubs/tires to see if they'll need work. Make sure there's brakes on both axles. How's the wiring? Is the trailer a budget basic model, or does it come with creature comforts like better walls/floors/cabinets? Mark |
