I was driving by a dealer yesterday and they had a 2000 Ram Air with 43k miles, manual tranny. Asking price 14,800.
Looked fairly nice and clean underneath. I did not drive it or sit in it...didnt have time. Assuming this is in as good of condition as the mileage might indicate, what is this baby worth? Any "gothchas" to look for on the 2000? TIA Bock |

I'm not saying anyone in here is wrong, but the prices for LS1 f-bodies are stupid. I can't believe people would pay that much. Maybe I'm just cheap. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Howdy,

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) The prices seem a little high to me too but: 1) I have an LS1 f-body, so STFU! :-0 2) I'm a bit of a cheap bastard. Mark |

Mark I think there's "market value" and "enthusiast's value." There are people whose asking price is way over the typical market value, but there's no fault in that because they will still find people who will pay that much. Example: Ron Bistrais' old '97 1LE went for around $10K on eBay, and it's "just" an LT1, but someone could have bought it from Ron for $7K! It's just a matter of finding the right car at the right time. People who are going to race or track an F-Body don't necessarily need a low mileage garage queen and will hold out to find a car that is being sold for the typical market value and not an "enthusast's value." I sold my old street Sentra SE-R about five years ago for $5,000, and I thought my asking price was too high ("market value" was maybe $3K at the time but had a few go-fast parts on it), but I had people practically beating my door down for it!
