I was driving by a dealer yesterday and they had a 2000 Ram Air with 43k miles, manual tranny. Asking price 14,800.
Looked fairly nice and clean underneath. I did not drive it or sit in it...didnt have time. Assuming this is in as good of condition as the mileage might indicate, what is this baby worth? Any "gothchas" to look for on the 2000? TIA Bock |

I don't know if I think that the prices are that bad. After all, I cannot think of a single other car that (in stock or extremely mildly modified form) can satisfy all of the following:
1) Carry 4 people 2) Still turn heads at stop lights though it's >5 years old 3) Run 12's at the strip 4) Stick with stock C5 Vettes on a road course 5) Make 400hp with only bolt ons 6) Carry all of the supplies for an autox, compete in that autox competitively, and then drive home 7) Be worked on and fixed by almost anyone with a ratchet and 7, 10, 13, and 15mm sockets 8) Recoup all purchase costs if parting out to make a race car 9) Be both a sleeper (discounted by guys with "real" racecars) and a favorite (when you've beat the "real" race cars) 10) Be able to run in at least 8 competitive amateur road race classes (CMC, CMC2, AI, AIX, T2, GT1, AS, ITE and I'm sure I missed a couple) |
