It is time for something new so I need to part ways with my 1998 Camaro Z28. It has 111k miles, and is stock (well today it has 1LE LCA's and a '99+ "Hurst" shifter, but they will be swapped for stock parts if preferred). The interior is pretty nice with no rips or stains. The console boot is a little rigged until I found a proper replacement, which I have not. It has a few hail dings, none huge and they should all be able to PDR out. It has been painted at some point and the paint is nicer than most '98's.
It is a hardtop M6 car and will someday make a great race car candidate. It is too nice now IMO. I consistently get 21-22mpg in the car, and have cracked 30 on the interstate. A little over a year ago the pilot bearing started making noise, and while the trans was out I had Jason at TDP rebuild it. Jason also put all new bearings and seals in the rear end early this year as it was leaking out the pinion. Today it does not leak a drop of anything. The fuel pump was replaced with a new GM pump 18 months ago. All the fluids were changed 2 years ago (brake, ps, etc), and oil has been synthetic since I have had it. The motor is tight, sounds good, and holds normal oil pressure (30 at hot idle, just under 40 at hot cruise on the highway). Price is Cons: Minor hail dings Shifter boot tires are thin Small tear in front bumper that was the same 27 months ago when I bought the car. Here is a link with a bunch of gas mileage stats: http://home.tx.rr.com/ferrisbuehler/green_z28.html 22.1 average over 26k miles This is after detailing it in the driveway a couple weeks ago: (IMG:http://home.tx.rr.com/ferrisbuehler/tmp/pics/z28_1.JPG) (IMG:http://home.tx.rr.com/ferrisbuehler/tmp/pics/z28_2.JPG) And this is the WORST hail ding by far (IMG:http://home.tx.rr.com/ferrisbuehler/tmp/pics/z28_ding.JPG) This post has been edited by 98_1LE: Jul 3 2008, 12:47 AM |

Gray cloth interior. Front seats are basically perfect, the drivers foam is a little collapsed but not much. The back seat is perfect except the upper is sun faded.
If you look at the seams with the hatch open, it appears that the drivers side quarter panel has been replaced. When I bought it all the fluids were changed. I had the ac checked last year and they added a little refrigerant. It blows ICE cold. I am in north Euless on the west side of DFW airport. Probably 25-30 miles from Glenn's house. I will be home all day tomorrow, feel free to come by. It had 81k when I bought it. Last night I averaged all the gas receipts I have for it, 26k + miles worth. The average is 22.1 mpg, and it has only been out of the metroplex once since I bought, and when I drove it home. It was originally a Texas car, that moved up north for a year or two, then I brought it home. Everyone knows these cars are capable of that; I shared that as an indicator of how the car has been treated. This post has been edited by 98_1LE: Jul 3 2008, 03:01 AM |
